DIVISION Clean Energy Systems



  • Coordinates activities of Electronic Architecture team (Component Design Engineer, Controlled System Architect, Validation, Tuning, …) on electric/electronic (E/E) components & controlled system architecture within the Research project team
  • Guarantees compliance of parts and systems to customer specifications
  • Provides alternative solutions to meet cost targets and attractive innovative solutions to customer
  • Takes in charge other  predevelopments & Supports R&D projects needs in his/her field of expertise




  • Within the project team, negotiates the milestones and  monitors the DFMEA’s, the DVP and control plans of components extensions to adapt them to requirements, within Clean Energy Systems Component strategy.
  • Contribute to optimization of FMEA & DVP execution with Architecture and electronic teams
  •  Ensure reliability, safety, compliance to norms and regulations of products/system and to ergonomic rules
  • Leads  Requirement Management Methodology in coherence with Controlled System Development methodology




  • Conducts design reviews on Controlled System Architecture and E/E control units
  • Insures delivery of components documentation to the project team (drawings, BOM, DFMEA, DVP, test reports, control plans, corresponding presentations, other  deliverables),
  • Insures manufacturability of the components he is in charge of.
  • Defines the System E/E Pin-Out for all prototype & production levels and coordinates with Wire Harness CDE & Electronic Validation Engineer
  • Issues regular reporting and re-forecasting of product cost/metrics and of product development costs  (Typically monthly)
  • Optimizes product cost and product development costs, follows design to costs targets
  • Analyses all relevant OEM specifications, standards, and specific requirements, cascades the consequences to the component engineer, the project manager, builds and follows the deviation lists.
  • Identifies technical risks, defines and implements corrective action plan
  • Writes the technical requirements for controlling the Clean Energy Systems components addressed to the OEM &/or to the supplier and negotiates it
  • In cooperation with the component engineer, reviews and updates the specifications, adapts  and publishes the component Components Technical Specifications
  • Participates to the project design reviews and project reviews, proposes & validates potential up-grades



Personal Background

  • Engineering degree (electromechanical, electronics, Automation)  or equivalent
  • 5 years experience in automotive industry, ideally with research or development experience in Electronic Control units
  • Proven knowledge and use of Automotive OEMs Electric/Electronic norms


Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent aptitude as regards project coordination, communication and team motivation
  • Innovation booster
  • Demonstrated experience in architecture of automotive controlled systems
  • Knowledge of OBDI, OBDII & EOBD requirements
  • Use of DOORS, Vector/Etas tools is a plus
  • Fluent in English and French, German is a plus.
