Job Description



PLASTIC OMNIUM Clean Energy Systems division develops fuel and SCR systems for different worldwide OEMs - customers.

In these systems, valves are key components allowing:

  • Refilling of the system
  • Filled volume definition
  • Venting of the system
  • Liquid vapor discrimination
  • Protection in roll-over

Valve performances directly impact the car final user and his safety. Therefore, these performances must be precisely defined and measured, with severe impacts in case of issue.    

The valves are usually developed and tested by Plastic Omnium suppliers; the ability to test some of these components characteristics is a highly valuable asset for Plastic Omnium during Request For Quotation and Development phases. 

The main objective of the internship is on a first hand to develop a test device dedicated to valve testing, and on a second hand to measure the performances of some specific valves to evaluate the impact of the different technologies used.  

The activity will therefore consist of:

  • Defining a test setup and test conditions
  • Managing its manufacturing
  • Measuring some valve performances
  • Correlating the results with valve technology

Based on progress and workload of this activity, secondary activities may be added (ex: analysis of additional valve performances, of roughness impact…).

The trainee will be integrated in the Product Development support team in our technical center α-Alphatech (60).

  • Autonomy, Organized
  • Leadership to challenge current practices (PO, suppliers)
  • Ability to communicate easily and clearly (verbal, written form)

Languages: English (fluent) and French.
