The primary purpose of the position is to develop an accurate UK capacity model, manage the stock integrity process (and actions to improve) and to develop a Make or Buy strategy (business case creation and study).



  • Ensure that safety policies are understood and respected within area of responsibility
  • Supply chain continuous improvement
    • Maintain focus on performance indicators and on the related reporting systems
    • Define the BU Supply Chain progress plan, in line with the objectives of the Division. Follow-up its implementation in plants
    • Provide support to plants for improvement projects (make or buy, benchmark, flat storage, production planning, warehouse management)
    • Ensure the correct use of SCOOP (ERP) Supply Chain functionalities in plants. Coordinate improvement actions plans
    • Establish a capacity planning “control tower” to optimise the usage of installed injection and painting capacities
    • With Purchasing, develop collaborative approaches with suppliers to improve service levels while reducing costs and inventory levels


  • New flows
    • Participate in the definition of supply chain schemes for new programs (OPTIMAP) or new plants (OPTIPRO)
    • Define the proper industrial approach for any project, Optimap, Optipro, Optichange and AVP (lay-out, performance, manning, investment)
    • Build the associated Business case- incorporating OEE, range of machine utilization, Direct Labor Impact, OVH cost impact, SQM impact


  • Networks
    • Lead BU Supply Chain network: regular meetings, best practices, benchmark and actively participate in Divisional Supply Chain network
    • Contribute to the attraction, development and retention of skills. Anticipate future needs, propose training plans and organisation evolution
    • Contribute to the development and rollout of standards and training programmes


Skills & Knowledge

Experience within Automotive
Logistics and Industrial experience
Familiar with tools such as: VSM, spaghetti flow, milk run, business case….
Ability to operate strategically as well as able to combine long term vision/strategy with a detailed approach depending of the scope of the project
Ability to work with multi-functional teams including Industrial, Plant Manager, Suppliers, Purchase
Ability to travel domestically without restriction
