We are looking for an experienced and motivated Information Systems Service leader to manage IT activities related to our Programs, Engineering and Innovation solutions. Working closely with our business engineering teams, the IS Service Leader will be able to manage the applications portfolio (PLM/CAD/CAE/BI & Data), lead the related projects, maintain and operate the application systems, and address the business demands in accordance with internal IS/IT policies.

You will be responsible of a team in charge of operations and projects around Programs and Product Engineering applications, mainly Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD), which will eventually interface with other information system solutions (CAE/Simulation, BI and Analytics) and disciplines (Innovation and Mechatronics).

You will be at the forefront of our R&D business representatives, and will have direct influence on operations and evolutions of Programs and Engineering solutions.


You will be expected to take on the following :


From Demand Management perspective,

•      Supports the IS-IT Service Manager in the tasks related with the qualification and prioritization of Business Domain portfolio for Engineering

•      Identifies technology, develops a first high-level design (functional and technical) for the demand in the pipeline, and estimates efforts

•      Based on estimated effort and forecasted capacity (liaising with PMO Office), establishes a prioritization proposal and high-level planning for projects that will be included for execution.

•      Supports channeling change requests to the required delivery team

•      Keeps informed the team of pipeline demand and approval

•      Keeps informed business counterparts of activity progress.


From Delivery perspective,

•      Supports the IS-IT Service Manager in standing up Program(s) with business owner and might be driving program stream for significant IS components

•      Leads a team of IS application engineers in charge of developing new applications and enhancing existing applications according to prioritized business project demand

•      Coaches and supports the team to elaborate feature/solution design proposals and recommendations

•      Supervises the design process including functional designs, detailed technical designs, including cost, time, and resource estimates, ensuring consistent adherence to architecture standards

•      Supervises availability of environments and tools for development; as well as readiness of testing processes and execution

•      Ensures cost and labor estimates are accurately maintained throughout a feature/solution delivery’s lifecycle, using appropriate change control procedures as needed

•      Validates high-level delivery plans with objectives and measurements. Minimizes risks and deals with delivery obstacles with management support

•      Supervises availability of environments and tools for development; as well as readiness of testing processes and execution

•      Supervises the execution of the pilot, release, distribution, and installation of tested systems

•      Ensures the team leads or contributes to IS project

•      Uses the Standards methodologies, waterfall and agile project methodology

•      Manages end-to-end factory processes to define / improve interaction between Build & Operate.


From Management perspective,

•      Assigns duties, responsibilities and scope of work to the team. Evaluate team member performance

•      In charge of team motivation and development

•      In charge of cost management for the service




You will be able to meet the following requirements :


·        Proven track record as IS Manager within a global organization automotive industry

·        Information Systems experience of Project lead and management

·        Relevant experience leading Engineering solutions and projects that encompass of both business and technical change

·        In-depth experience operating in a diverse environment in terms of cultures, geography, languages and economics

·        Persuasive leader with the ability of seeing the whole picture, solutions/ processes and delivering in a partnering style

·        Great communication and interpersonal skills

·        Knowledge and experience of engineering business processes

·        Professional English


“Highly Beneficial” Areas of Experience :


·        Good knowledge on PLM and CAD solutions for Engineering

·        Experience working within an Automotive industry, in the field of Programs, Engineering and innovation

·        Knowledge and experience working with information technology on PLM applications (Dassault Systemes Enovia V6, Siemens Teamcenter AWC), CAD systems (Catia V5, NX) and other products (VisView, Portal data exchange…)

·        Knowledge and experience of data exchange processes with car makers and automotive suppliers

·        Work experience gained with licensing management tools

·        Postgraduate in IT for engineering would be expected
