MISSION
Ensure the validation of all components purchased (BOM) for the projects in his/her responsibility from the Innovation phase until PPAP full approval.
Support project team and Operations during hand-over process to Plant Quality team up to SOP + 6 months and make sure all relevant information for a smooth transition is communicated to the plant.
Primary Responsibilities
Supplier pre-selection, development and re-certification
- Participate to suppliers mapping for new commodities
- Join suppliers audits for new potential suppliers to be added in the supply base
- Qualify new suppliers through suppliers audits
- Train and develop suppliers to keep or bring them to expected PO quality level
- Participate actively to the construction of the supply base for New Energies and to the Commodities strategies
- Arrange audits for periodic re-certification of suppliers according to the regulation of the field delivered by the supplier
Sourcing phase
- Contribute to supplier selection for new business award (including POC and innovation phase) and ensures that all essential documentation is available (deviation list, planning, team feasibility commitment, etc…)
- Create the PPAP request in supplier portal
- Create the commodity check list for the new commodities when it’s not existing and track it with suppliers
Quality tracking of components validation during innovation & development phase for its projects :
- Attend kick-off meeting with PLASTIC OMNIUM team and suppliers
- Present and establish APQP/SOPA to new suppliers
- Report periodically the progress of components validations
- Report risks linked to non-respect of Quality, Cost & Timing of the project
- Issue Development SNCRs and track the corresponding action plans
Components validations
- Communicate with suppliers the POAI expectations requested in PPAP file
- Work together with Quality & Engineering teams to ensure all specifications (standards, CTS, etc…) are considered in PPAP file
- Participate to components drawings reviews
- Alert Purchasing team and Project Manager in case of significant gap related to implementation of quality tools at supplier site vs commitment in supplier’s planning at award
- Arrange the process audits and measure, during the audit, the gaps versus documents provided for PPAP and ensure corrective action plans are implemented and measure their efficiency
- Approve, share and store the Quality and PPAP files according to PLASTIC OMNIUM policy
- Receive, approve and share the Initial Samples
Ensure a tracking on PPAP process for the components of its project
- Share a convergence plan for Quality documentation and PPAP together with the Program Buyer
- Report and escalade any risk of timing on his/her project
Contribute to the improvement of suppliers quality and purchasing processes
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Personal Background
- BAC+5 Engineer
- Background in Automotive Quality
- Certified auditor
Job Technical skills
- Automotive Quality Core Tools (APQP, 8D, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control plan, PFMEA)
- Certified VDA 6.3 auditor
- Good knowledge on IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 norms
- Good knowledge in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power point)
- Ability to read drawings; knowledge of GD&T principles
