MISSION

 

Responsible for Logistics/Customer service function within the manufacturing facility. Supervise people and processes to achieve metric goals for the department. Unusual work hours and travel may be required. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Primary Responsibilities

 

Responsibility 1

1. Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations

2. Supervise the shipping and receiving personnel

3. Manage Shipping operations to ensure customer delivery ratings are met including service deliveries

4. Responsible for maintaining customer systems, and trained as back up for Master Scheduler

5. Supports/performs cycle counts on Finished Goods/WIP

Responsibility 2:

1. Manage Service operations to achieve Service delivery requirements

2. Maintain the 5-S system in the warehouse and shipping office

3. Implement/maintain Insystems board for Shipping and Receiving

4. Manage Overseas Suppliers

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

2. Strong interpersonal skills along with a high level of strategic leadership abilities

3. Strong analytical and advanced problem solving skills using structured methods

4. Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures

5. Must comply with all safety rules and regulations

6. Able to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis

7. Must successfully complete all required training

 

Education and Experience

1. Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

2. 3 to 7 years of experience in automotive manufacturing preferred

3. Advanced knowledge and experience implementing Lean Systems in a manufacturing environment
