MISSION

  • The role of a Production Control & Logistics Supervisor is to manage the internal flow of pieces from receipt to shipping.
  • Supervise service parts and export packing activities

Primary Responsibilities

Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including all related activities under each area

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure that suppliers and especially subcontractors are working according the factory safety rules and regulations
  • Responsible to apply group procedures and work instructions in all purchase
  • Ensure compliance in all transactions

 

PC&L Shift supervisor job

  • Manage customer material inventory including its cycle count
  • Ensure customer delivery: feed and monitor the sequencer, supervise preparation and loading of finished products into trucks, track shipments, communicate all shipment failures or risk for shortage, follow-up and contribute to its reduction.
  • Supervise PC&L docks supervisors and schedulers
  • Ensure adequate production lines supplies: assure the cleanness and tidiness of stocking areas, ensure feeding of production lines , supervise the unloading of pieces and measure suppliers delivery
  • Conduct the implementation of logistics basics: booking operations, traceability, labeling, container management, etc.
  • Co-ordinate with program team for engineering changes and new program
  • Monitor visual management system: deploy visual First In First Out (FIFO) and install physical alert systems.
  • Organize equipment (handling equipment etc) and human resources.
  • Look for productivity gains.
  • Manage, train and coach logistics operators.
  • Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company (customers audits and workshops)
  • Maintains safety and housekeeping standards
  • Any other assignments from supervisor

 

Quality  control  and Process Improvement

  • Ensure that quality and environmental systems are operating according to required standards including, but not limited to:  TS16949, ISO14001, etc.

  • Customers delivery (OTIF/on time in full) for all products including packing
  • No production line shortage (TP man and line feeder efficiency)
  • Compliance to safety and quality

 

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or three (3) years demonstrate OJT experience
  • Experience in production in an industrial environment (automotive preferred)

 

Job Technical skills

  • Good command of written, spoken English and computer literacy
  • Experience with EDI system
  • Experience with SAP system
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing (Kanban etc)

 

Job Soft skills

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, possess strong initiative and problem solving skills
