DIVISION Intelligent Exterior Systems


  • Ensure Safety policies are understood and respected within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for the overall operation, direction, and supervisory duties of the Paint Maintenance Department.
  • Develop a Total Productive Maintenance program and Preventive Maintenance program that meet the paint performance goals.
  • Establish and maintain the CMMS program and spare parts crib.
  • Oversee the installation of various equipment, commission and complete customer sign-off process.
  • Establish an inventory system for equipment spare parts that meets the needs of the paint department, complete with order points, parts specification and cost controls.
  • Establish, implement and maintain a maintenance budget for expendable items and outside contracted services for the paint facility, paint kitchen, and sludge removal system.  Work towards reducing maintenance costs on an annual basis.
  • Develop an information system to measure the success of the paint maintenance team through trend analysis and categorize these trends.
  • Record trend analysis on paint line equipment, identifying high maintenance items, determining cause of equipment failures through analysis.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities of the paint maintenance team for reducing maintenance downtime and optimize the statistical capability of paint process equipment currently monitored by the process control team.
  • Forecast and develop a supplier base for paint maintenance department expendables.  For subcontracted services, develop a supplier base that can react to the needs of the paint department to minimize downtime in emergency situation based on using lead-time and delivery schedules.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as interfacing with the process control team and react to urgent requests that could impact production. Prioritize maintenance requests; distribute daily job assignments, review maintenance logs and daily supervisory responsibilities of the paint maintenance team.
  • Coordinate activities of contractors performing work on-site within the paint department.
  • Review all Equipment and asses MTR, and set action to any that are greater than 1hr.
  • Develop maintenance procedures compliant with all health, safety and environmental regulatory guidelines of local, state and federal agencies.
  • Develop and Maintain PFMEA procedures as they relate to maintenance requirements and documentation thereof. Review all RPN numbers higher than 125 set corrective action.
  • Lead and participate in team activities to continuously improve paint performance goals to achieve outstanding performance levels for:
    • Paint line downtime.
    • First time capability.
    • Scrap rate.
    • Paint cost per square foot.
    • Overhead costs.
    • Capacity utilization.
  • Develop and Maintain ISO-TS16949 procedures as they relate to maintenance requirements and documentation thereof.
  • Ensure that all accidents are properly reported and accident investigations are completed within 24 hours.
  • Perform other duties as directed.



  • Associate’s Degree or completed apprenticeship program in a related field of study required.  Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.  Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
  • Engineering degree not required but would be an asset.
  • Advanced computer knowledge an asset.
  • Minimum six years in an highly conveyor driven automated environment using robotics, PLC’s, chillers, compressors, and Air Handlers.
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and people skills.
  • Paint line experience a plus.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or walking for up to eight (8) hours a day.
  • Ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up pounds on an infrequent basis. 
  • Good vision at a close distance is required. 
  • Must be capable of performing repetitive motion at, above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours a day.
