MISSION

 

Within the frame of Plastic Omnium and Auto Inergy Division guidelines, define and implement the Human Resources strategy and action plans to support the local plant strategy and business plan for the manufacturing plant.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Team: Manage, coach and develop your HR staff – HR Representative & Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator

Talent Acquisition: Create and execute staffing plans for the manufacturing plant. Manage recruitment of exempt, non-exempt & hourly associates. Partner with on-site staffing agency to fill open temporary positions.

Talent Management: Create and execute training strategy for the manufacturing plant. Facilitate Career Development & Succession Planning. Identify future competency needs arising from the development of the organization.

Employee Relations: Coordinate Employee Activities (recognition, annual events, etc.). Facilitate associate communication and proactive employee relations. Coach and educate managers and employees on HR matters and issues. Coach and support individuals as needed in specific situations; guide and direct effective conflict resolutions.

Health, Safety, and Environmental: Responsible for the health, safety and environmental management system for the Plant Operations.

Policies & Processes: Develop and manage HR policies and procedures for Plant Operations in coordination with Regional and Corporate HR Departments. Create all functional process documentation.

HR Administration: Manage and maintain HR reporting systems, including monthly metrics. Manage training, safety, payroll and benefits functions for Plant Operations.

Compliance:  Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Regulations in employment practices and advise management regarding same. Build trust & credibility with all employees with legal and consistent application of management practices. Ensure compliance with TS16949; ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and all State and Federal regulations regarding same.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Human Resource Management or Business equivalent)
  • Graduate level Degree preferred
  • Professional Certification preferred but not required (PHR or SPHR)
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relative HR experience
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without any type of sponsorship now and in the future.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Recruiting Experience
  • Membership in local HR Organizations
  • Promote positive company image through community involvement
  • Must successfully complete all required training
  • Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
