Job Summary   

Responsible for leading the direction, coordination and control of the financial functions for the facility and continuous improvement to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product. Work is performed in a fast paced, results oriented environment with tight time constraints. Unusual hours and travel may be required. This is a salaried, exempt position.


Primary Responsibilities


Essential Functions

  1. Execute effective leadership in identifying opportunities, implementing action, and providing timely and meaningful information to assist in the decision making process
  2. Lead the annual long range planning-budgeting processes for the plant, both P&L, balance sheet and cash
  3. Compile and analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to forecast income and expenses. Highlight actual expenses and reconcile with available budget
  4. Responsible for the execution of both internal and external audits at plant level-BS, P&L, and internal controls

Supervise AR, AP, fixed assets, standard costing, and monthly closing processes



Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in the capital budgeting process, including analytical prioritization and justification process
  • Safeguard assets of the company through appropriate internal controls and analytic techniques
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities to improve controls and reduce operating costs

Provide support to other positions as needed including the cost analyst and AR/AP Clerk


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  1. Strong general ledger skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  3. Knowledge of financial functions and analytical techniques along with the ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
  4. Ability to work in a fast paced, result oriented environment within tight time constraints, along with the ability to organize and prioritize work
  5. Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
  6. Must comply with all safety rules and regulations
  7. Demonstrated record of experience in processing periodic accounting closings


Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
  2. 10 to 15 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
  3. 5 to 7 years of management experience that includes planning, supervision and review
