Drive programs throughout their life cycle, managing the customer interface and coordinating the program team to meet internal and external customer requirements with regard to quality, cost, profit, timing and risk. Core Team Member
The Core Team Member acts as a Project Manager for his/her area and is responsible both for his/her own work, timing, quality and risks, and also for managing the team (2nd circle) to see that actions are performed and deliverables completed on time. Included fields are engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing.
The Program Manager leads one or two project and/or core teams through a matrix/cross-functional organization. He/she is responsible for setting project objectives, budget and timing (from start to finish) to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. The Program Manager also participates in formulating
strategic planning objectives for the business unit or division.
