Q: Can you tell us a little about your background?
A: I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Lawrence Technological University in Détroit, and I joined Visteon Automotive Systems in 1997 as an engineer. When we were partially acquired by Ford in 2005, I stayed in the new Automotive Components Holdingsubsidiary to supervise new production processes.
Q: When did Plastic Omnium come into the picture?
A: A Plastic Omnium acquired the production assets of ACH in June 2011, becoming a key partner with Ford. I was appointed program manager for the plant, and I was responsible for supervising the transfer of production to the new plant in Huron over a period of two years. This meant significant input not only to adapt the production process, but also to manage the team.
Q: What was the most important thing you learned from this experience?
A: Stay on track by always keeping a positive attitude. My co-workers depend on me and
I consider it my duty to give them my best.
