MISSION

  • The IS/IT Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting all plant administration and manufacturing systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime in accordance with group standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software in support of plant operations.
  • Manage all Information System Projects for the plant
  • Database and Server management / maintenance
  • Plant Networking Systems management
  • Management of information systems administrative tasks (backups, documentation, purchases, etc)

ACTIVITIES

  • Provide help desk response and customer service under a Cisco/Windows environment
  • Manage Information System Projects for the site (local and regional)
  • IT asset reporting – workstation identification, installation, inventory, and maintenance.
  • Database and server maintenance and management
  • Monitoring and maintenance of plant network
  • Supporting MES systems (PES)
  • Coordination with automation teams to support MES (shop floor) and traceability systems
  • Monitor and maintain plant shipping system(s)
  • Monitor and maintain plant timekeeping and telephone systems
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Authority to stop production or shipments when a quality or safety issue arises

PROFILE REQUIRED

Required Education and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or engineering discipline
  • 2+ years IT support under a Cisco/Windows environment
  • Microsoft Windows server management experience as well as virtualization solutions
  • Working knowledge of active directory
  • Working knowledge of TCPIP and networks (LAN/WAN)
  • Understanding of phone systems operations (PBX, VoIP)
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Understanding of automation, PLC’s, HMI systems, networking and data acquisition systems preferred
  • Ability to train others – effective communicator
  • Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship or transfer both now and in the future.
