MISSION

To support Purchasing activities for non-production materials and services via SAP system and manage daily activities of stockroom to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product.  Issue, receive and store products.  This is a salaried, exempt position.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Essential Functions
  2. To lead, negotiate and source non-production suppliers (indirect materials, indirect services, and capital expenditures)
  3. Develop and manage assigned regional Indirect Supply Commodity Strategy
  4. Manage supplier relationship  within an Extended Enterprise framework in support of the team in accordance with the Purchasing Responsibility Matrix
  5. Ensure the competitiveness of his/her commodity achieving aggressive cost targets, considering quality, cost, technology and compliance to reach PO needs.
  6. Productivity, supply base management, score card, number of supplier gap closure on activities
  7. To help optimize the supply base
  8. Challenge/Negotiate Supply Base with data analytics/competitive cost
  9. Ensure compliance of his/her supplier base with legislation and PO regulations

ACTIVITIES

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement Cost Models and Cost Estimating Tools for assigned commodities
  2. Prepare and present to sourcing committee with company compliance rules
  3.  Support local buying functions: MRO/Stockroom, Plant Office Equipment and contracts
  4. Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  5.  Work closely with the manufacturing plants to establish an effective supply base
  6. Interact and meet monthly with Corporate Regional Purchasing
  7. Cycle counts

PROFILE REQUIRED

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  2. Excellent organization skills
  3. Proven ability to work in a team environment
  4. Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data
  5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
  6. May require working under high temperature conditions periodically
  7. Must comply with all safety rules and regulations
  8. Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
  9. Must successfully complete all required training
  10. MUST be legally able to work in the U.S. without requirement for any type of visa sponsorship/transfer now and in the future

 

Education and Experience:

  1. 4 year College Degree 
  2. 1 to 3 years of experience in Purchasing required
