Plant Maintenance Supervisor - B shift

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Respect and follow safety rules.
  • Responsible to lead maintenance team and promote safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Ensures maintenance objectives are achieved
  • Communicates equipment failures and corrective actions with team
  • Supports all teams in facility to create greatest opportunity for company success
  • Develops maintenance technicians to be cross-functional and high performing team members
  • Works with plant maintenance manager and department managers on any disciplinary and non-conformance concerns
  • Prioritizes and coordinates work assignments
  • Develop strong and respectful working relationships with all members of organization
  • Works hand-in-hand with technicians on equipment and projects as needed
  • Must be able to work B shift (nights)

 

MANAGING PROCESS

  • SAFETY
    • HSE requirements satisfied
    • Complete all documentation / deployment for Incidents
    • Drive safety culture within team 
  • QUALITY
    • Closely monitor quality levels and root cause and correct any maintenance related non-conformances
  • PRODUCTIVITY
    • Closely monitor equipment availability levels, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues
    • Continually work to understand the customer’s requirements in terms of quality and delivery
    • Create and drive actions to cross functional team members
    • Develop, Implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans
  • COMMUNICATION
    • Report KPIs / IPIs
    • Communicate openly with colleagues and hierarchy
    • Escalates when equipment is unavailable per guidelines
    • Immediately communicate with his/her managers in case of any process deviations, problems, incidents
    • Consistently apply policies and procedures

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experienced and successful leader of multi-functional teams in a tier one automotive or other fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Must have strong communication and motivational skills and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to effectively lead while under pressure
  • Strong fundamental
  • Technical aptitude and experience in more than one of the following areas – equipment reliability, general maintenance, injection molding, liquid paint lines, and automated work cells
  • Experience with MS Office applications
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder
  • Must be able to work in high and low temperature environments when needed
  • Must be able to perform the following activities: walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
