Internship Description

The trainee will be inside the Mechatronic Department.


The target of the internship will be to be local representative of a Control System Application Engineer located in PO Tokyo technical center for a development project with Japanese OEM and Japanese electronic partners of a Selective Catalyst Reduction system (Sensors, Electrical Actuators, Control Unit).


The assistance being understood as management of key deliverables through direct involvement or functional management of extended team with daily reporting. As an automotive project, the daily work will be done in a changing and fast pace environment with high constrains of quality, cost, risk management and timing.


Internship task's detail 

- Key project deliverables accountability

  • DFMEA red risk management through monitoring of content and validation plan
  • Baseline Sensors/Actuators/SW version/Calibration
  • End Of Line specification for production plant and laboratory
  • Control System and Dosing Control Unit Product Data Sheets
  • Internal and External meetings participation and follow-up
  • Integration Validation Plan per Baseline

- Key Process Indicator update and follow-up

- Support to French and Japanese laboratories to complete validation

- Support to European and Japanese production plants to complete start of production

- Support to Quality Department for internal and external PPM analysis


Under functional management of Japanese Control System Application Engineer and hierarchical management of Control System Architecture and Applications Manager, the internship will punctually requires travel in Europe and Asia.



- Mechatronic Engineer with sensitivity for:

  • Automotive Application
  • Control Laws
  • Embedded systems
  • System Engineering
  • Technical project management

- Japanese : Mother tongue

- English : Fluent


Duration & Localisation

The proposed internship will be done in Plastic Omnium CES branch. It will be located in α-Alphatech development center – Compiègne – France (70Km North from Paris)
