Missions

  • Leads component design, development & validation for automotive mechatronics components – electronic control units (ECU), sensor & actuators for research projects
  • Contributes to the definition of electronic design, development & validation methodology of Mechatronics Research & Innovation process
  • Contributes to the definition of Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing methodology according to international & customer norms and specifications 
  • Defines the EMC testing strategies and specifications for Research & Innovation projects
  • Leads the EMC chamber activities

 

Responsibilities

  • Defines the design, development & validation requirements for automotive ECUs by writing of component specifications & validation plans
  • Contributes to the evaluation of suppliers offers (timing, quality, risks & cost) with Purchasing team & Project Manager
  • Leads standardization of requirements including validations for ECUs and electronic parts of mechatronic systems
  • Analyses & synthesizes customer specifications and international standards
  • Leads electronics developments internally and with suppliers
  • Insures that planning and delivery are respected for electronic components & documentation, creates recovery plan if necessary
  • Leads standardization of EMC requirements including validations for ECUs, electronic and mechatronic components, including system testing
  • Contributes to development of mechatronic system & component FMEA/FTA with other teams
  • Insures the EMC testing of Mechatronics components and systems
  • Insures that planning is respected for EMC validations & documentation, creates recovery plan if applicable
  • Insures delivery of EMC documentation to the Research project teams, keeps Project Manager informed on EMC evolutions
  • Defines partnership development strategies, and recommends orientation for EMC
  • Contributes actively to electronic design reviews for EMC topics
  • Reviews and comments design validation and product validation reports 
  • Proposes & validates potential upgrades/cost saving ideas
  • Writes reports for internal diffusion, presents results internally and externally to Plastic Omnium customers

 

Profile

       Personal Background

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in electronics or mechatronics with minimum 3 years of experience in automotive industry
  • Software: MS Office, Matlab, C, OrCAD, Pspice, dSpace, Vector tools, Doors

       Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience in design & validation of automotive electronic control units or automotive embedded systems
  • Very good knowledge of electronics, EMC, embedded systems, sensors & actuators,
  • Demonstrated experience in EMC design & validation of automotive electronic control units and mechatronics components
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge in French; German is a plus
  • Aptitude in leadership and communication, team player
