Plastic Omnium is now reinforcing its positioning of electric propulsion player. The goal for the company is to become a major player in clean mobility with hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles thanks to new innovative product lines.
The internship is located in Brussels, Belgium, within the Plastic Omnium Advanced Innovation & Research Center.
The innovation data analyst will be part of the Open Innovation team and report directly to the Open Innovation Engineer. During the length of the Internship, an entire project will be completed and new methodologies and tools developed will be adopted by the organization.
The innovation data analyst role within the Open Innovation department is to provide professional high quality inputs and deliverables for the technology watch project whose goal is to track, collect and redirect key and relevant data about new fuel energy storage and propulsion technologies (Fuel cells, hydrogen storage, Industry 4.0…). Then, data is used to identify latest technological developments, assess potential of new technologies and accelerate decisions for our innovation projects and strategy.
Operate the Technology Watch
Design fully integrated data import
Develop the detailed specifications report for an automated direct connection between the API of
the Technology Watch sources and the API of the Plastic Omnium Sharepoint. Liaise with the Plastic
Omnium IT department to ensure a smooth transfer of the specifications and follow up their
Background & Skills
Computer science with a focus on business intelligence, big data, data mining, database management, data visualisation, data analysis, data warehousing, visual computing or visual analytics.
Familiar with designing algorithms (Python), macros & workflows, formatting of web pages and intranet sites, writing technical documents, developing VBA macros, data visualization software’s like Qlik softwares (QlikView, Qlik Sense) or competitors (Tableau, Power BI).
