MISSION

 

  • Develop mechatronics system algorithms and strategies of various functionalities (functional and dependability)
  • Validate the control strategies in his/her scope using
  • Integrate the various strategies in his/her scope on a selected prototyping target
  • Contribute to the definition of the working methodologies of the Control System Engineering group

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Develop the definition of control system strategies of various functionalities

  • Analyses, supports and reviews Original Equipment Manufacturer and system specifications / standards
  • Builds & delivers generic control models to meet system specifications performances
  • Guaranties easy adaptability of generic control models to specific customer / project needs
  • Guaranties ease of transferring models to embedded software development team (AUTOSAR)
  • Contributes to appropriate procedures and documentation, capitalizes knowledge, issues patent proposals
  • Supports Failure Mode Effects Analysis & Fault Tree Analysis process
  • Contributes to objective settings & assessment process of Research technical staff

Validate the control strategies in his/her scope

  • Defines functional verification test plan according to related system specifications
  • Validates with the project team the robustness of the generic control strategies (Model-In-the-Loop verifications)
  • Defines associated Technology Readiness Level

Integrate the various control strategies in his/her scope on a selected target

  • Defines the appropriate target for the project according to related system specifications and guidelines
  • Integrates the control strategies with the environment (sensors, communication, actuators…)
  • Validates with the project team the robustness of the integration (Hardware-In-the-Loop verifications)
  • Defines calibration guidelines

Contribute to the definition of the working methodologies of the Control Engineering group

  • Contributes to the development of the Control System Engineering Methodology in accordance to Plastic Omnium research process
  • Proposes up-grades and new methodologies

 

PROFILE

  • Master in engineering (control systems and automation)
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Model based System engineering is a must
  • Fluent in French and English; German is a plus

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 

  • Good knowledge of electronic control units, control units, RTOS , automation, OBD1, OBDII/EOBD, AUTOSAR, ISO 26262;
  • Notions in sensors & actuator,  pump motors, fluid & solid mechanics, thermodynamics;
  • Technical skills: SYSML/UML, DOORS, Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, Vector CAN tools, CANape/INCA, CANOE, CANGraph/Diadem, RTC/GIT, Speed goat/Mototron
  • Commit on project actions of which he is in charge, assumes responsibility of quality, cost and timing
  • Develops & maintains relevant know-how, capitalizes experience, ensures the diffusion of his knowledge
  • Follows technical and scientific literature (including patents) in his field of expertise
  • Follows internal procedures, instruction & templates to maintain coherence in documentation.
  • Automotive environment knowledge is a preferable
  • High level of initiative
  • Aptitude in communication
