MISSION

 

 

This position combines expertise development activities and specific plant support missions, as described in the Task Force section of this job description. The Task Force activity represents up to 75% of the job assignment.

 

As it relates to the Task Force activity, the team member ensures that the top technical business issues are immediately reacted to when necessary and proactively resolved through hands on intervention, support, and coaching.

When a critical situation is identified, he/she is temporarily assigned to a site, where he/she makes sure that the most urgent issues are addressed. He/she contributes to the situation recovery, ensures that the company processes are applied, and provides necessary training and coaching. In-between support missions, he/she contributes to the deployment and application of the industrial standards and best practices.

 

In addition to carrying Task Force support missions, the position includes development support activities

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

 

TASK FORCE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

React to crisis situations requiring dedicated support :

  • Provide expertise support to sites in critical operational situation such as serious quality problems, potential field actions, machine efficiency issues threatening launch readiness or production capacity, and others as needed
  • Contribute to efficiency improvement action plans as needed
  • Provide hands-on help in order to solve most urgent issues
  • Mobile to go where the need is and drive it to resolution

 

Drive the application of industrial standards in the region :

  • Share best practices to validate effectiveness & improvement to standards
  • Provide on-job training, coaching and applicable training within their field of expertise
  • Ensure standards are applied through plant visits

 

Anticipate & intervene in potential quality, safety, throughput issues before becoming a crisis :

  • Through regular plant visits, identify risks and alert the regional management on potential crisis

 

Contribute to Auto Inergy’s Synergy Team :

  • Participate to the following activities of the Synergy team’s activities
    • Give feedback n standards methods and equipment
    • Share lessns learnt with facilities, with the industrial and expert communities
    • Share and Deply Best Practices. Validate the effectiveness and improvement of our standards
    • Prvide coaching, mentorship, and training for the local teams
  • The Synergy Team meets monthly via conference call and two to three times per year in person at locations to be determined by the team

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

    • Technical Bachelor Degree in the field of application preferred
    • 10 years f experience in the field
    • Knwledge in Lean Manufacturing
    • Must be fluent in English

 

Job Technical skills

    • Advanced knwledge of Blow molding process, Plastic Boring and Welding technologies
    • Advanced knwledge in Machinery Design : mechanical, electrical, controls
    • Detailed knwledge of PO Auto Inergy manufacturing processes: blow-molding, machining centers, assembly and in-line testing. Detailed knowledge of our products and materials
    • Ability t collect, maintain and analyze data
    • Ability t troubleshoot and provide corrective action
    • Basic knwledge of Quality system and processes (i.e. TS16949 / IATF)

    • Excellent verbal, written cmmunication skills
    • Must be flexible, dependable, and creative
    • Must have strng analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently

 

Mobility

    • Available to spend extended periods of time to any site within the region, or outside the region in some special cases.
