To oversee and carry out the regional objectives as it pertains to the purchasing and supply chain functions within the Americas region:< <

  • Purchasing – Respnsible for regional organization including sourcing and purchase of components, CAPEX, and MRO.  Align and set priritization for purchasing saving targets, strategies, and drive strategic supplier relationships that enable POCES to exceed customer and shareholder expectations
  • Materials Planning & Logistics – Support and organize material and logistic functions to deliver world class results for customer delivery, inventory management, systems effectiveness, and logistic cost.  This is to be done in line with the global supply chain organization.<
  • Supplier Quality: respnsible for regional SQ organization to ensure alignment of commercial and quality objectives from start of development until hand over to the plant.< <

    Primary Responsibilities<

    Purchasing < <

  • Approve confidential agreements & sourcing contracts, according to POCES Delegation of Authority.<
  • Collaboration with industrial and technical teams to ensure supplier strategies are aligned.<
  • Ensure process and procedures are adhered resulting in internal / external audit compliance. <
  • Work with legal department to insure legal contractual soundness between POAI and supply base.  <
  • Support development and execution of supplier commodity strategies, LTA negotiations, and actions<
  • Provide support as required for any supplier issues, corrective actions, and commercial disputes.<
  • Drive overall supplier performance and prioritize actions required based on score card results.< <

     

    Materials Planning & Logistics

    • Drive plant supply chain performance including delivery, inventory, freight, and system accuracy.
    • Own logistic strategy for both inbound and outbound cost and optimized network solutions.<
    • Ensure customs / duties compliance and governmental regulations for all import / export activity  <
    • Strategize packaging approach for material movement from suppliers as well as internal to the plant.<
    • Influence the use of standard tools and approach to achieve materials management objectives.<
    • Business process owner for EDI / material management systems for material and information flow.<
    • Standard approach towards forecasting / production planning processes supporting IPS initiatives< <

      Supplier Quality: < <

    • Support developing suppliers matching our general expectations regarding quality aspects<
    • Ensure suppliers match POCES project expectations regarding CTQ<
    • Support plants in series production in case of major quality issues with suppliers<
    • Host regular SQMR on critical projects and low scored suppliers< <

      Overall Management activities< <

    • Represent Purchasing as member of the regional leadership team <
    • Supports and approves sourcing decisions while considering total supply chain costs and quality aspects.<
    • Responsible to oversee and support team selection and development within the functions.<
    • Executes performance review process with collaborative SMART goal setting for team members.

    Personal Background< <

  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing / supply chain field with 7 years Purchasing or supply chain experience<
  • 10+ years with direct management experience<
  • Automotive background preferred with manufacturing or engineering experience a plus<
  • Experience working within a Lean Manufacturing mindset and culture< <

    Job Technical Skills< <

  • Ability to negotiate with top level executives creating a win/win environment for both POCES and the supplier<
  • Experience in driving complex sourcing and outsourcing projects. Full understanding of Total cost of ownership (TCO)<
  • Purchasing strategy development and implementation
  • Change Management : Leading purchasing transformation programs
  • Background operating within an ERP environment and able to understand the basic flows within
  •
