MISSION

 

Responsible for Logistics function within the Manufacturing facility. Create a vision and roadmap, manage people, and processes to achieve metric goals for the department.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Essential Functions

  • Manage people to achieve performance and developmental goals
  • Optimize inventory levels through MRP system and Kanban systems
  • Manage supplier performance by monitoring supplier delivery, freight costs, and packaging options
  • Manage Shipping operations to ensure Customer Delivery Ratings are met
  • Provide level load build plans
  • Responsible for Logistics Information
  • Customer Scorecards
  • Customer Portals

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage warehousing requirements, including external warehousing if required
  • Manage Service operations to achieve Service delivery requirements
  • Manage Prototype operations to Prototype delivery requirements

 

Other Requirements:

  • Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
  • Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching,

pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times

  • Customer Production and Service Delivery Scores
  • Cycle count compliance and accuracy
  • Inbound and outbound freight within budget
  • Premium freight reduction (within or under budget)
  • Inventory (value, units)

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Business related
  • 5+ years’ experience in Logistics/Scheduling in automotive industry preferred

 

Job Technical skills

    • SAP experience
    • Knwledge and experience implementing Lean Systems in a Manufacturing environment
    • Prficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); proficient in Excel
