MISSION< < < < < <

  • The Program Buyer is responsible for having the skills necessary to manage the functions of the supply-base thru a total supply-chain view<
  • These include the development and implementation of a program strategy, sourcing of new components, drive cost reductions, supplier management thru timing and delivery, enhance quality performance and support programs throughout their entire life cycle<
  • The Program Buyer will manage the suppliers within an Extended Enterprise framework in support of the team in accordance with the Purchasing Responsibility Matrix<
  • Domestic and international travel is required< < < < < <


  • Issue and analyze request for quotations (RFQs) to support PO Auto Inergy production and pre-production requirements (components, materials, and component tooling).<
  • Negotiate price, delivery, quality levels, intellectual property rights, payment terms and other aspects in the interest of PO Auto Inergy.<
  • Lead sourcing decisions.<
  • Interactive with the legal department to insure the legal soundness of the contractual relationships between PO Auto Inergy and its supply base, within scope assigned< < < < < <

  • Execute in a program team environment to achieve goals, including performance targets and continuous improvement<
  • Issue purchase orders for all program requirements throughout the program life cycle.<
  • Develop, maintain, and publish appropriate documentation as required by the applicable purchasing procedures<
